Branch Vote Results – Education Topics for Early 2021

This past November, all five of DSA-LA’s branches held votes to determine areas of Political Education for study. In accordance with the “In Response to Crisis” resolution passed at DSA-LA’s annual convention, the top two highest ranked proposals will be studied by branches in the first part of 2021.

Below are the results for each branch:

Central Branch – 184 ballots submitted

San Fernando Valley Branch – 100 ballots submitted

• Class Struggle and Socialist Strategy

Westside Branch – 91 ballots submitted

• Homelessness, Socialist Study with Solutions Models

Eastside + San Gabriel Valley Branch – 163 ballots submitted

• Class Struggle and Socialist Strategy

South Central + Inglewood Branch -28 ballots submitted

• South LA Political History 101
• The Causes, Failed Approaches, and Potential Solutions to the Housing Crisis in South Los Angeles
