The Art and Socialism subcommittee presents a screening of the rare and fascinating anti-fascist film Not Reconciled (1965). This disorientating film depicts West Germany as being just as violent and ruthless as the former Nazi regime it grew out of.
Group discussion to follow. Zoom link will be sent to everyone who RSVPs!
We also recommend reading the short essay Blowing Up the Past: Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s Not Reconciled (1965) before the screening.
Hope to see you there!
