This meeting is intended for DSA-LA Members in Good Standing.
Please ensure your Membership is current in advance of the meeting if you wish to participate. You can check your current status here.
If you do not check in advance, we will be unable to resolve any membership issues on the day of the meeting.
About this Meeting
A chapter meeting is one of the most important meetings that DSA-LA holds throughout the year. It is a space for all members to come together and make important decisions about the future of the organization. At this meeting, DSA-LA members will be debating and voting on a couple proposals — described below.
Who can attend?
This Meeting is open to all DSA-LA Members in Good Standing*. It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new, super involved already, or somewhere in between. We are a democratic, member-driven organization, and if you’re a member, your voice matters!
Please note: We will not be screening to prevent non-members from attending, however, only members will be able to vote or speak.
What if I can’t attend?
What accessibility features will this meeting have?
Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Spanish. This meeting will be hosted online and accessible to any member with a phone or computer who can access internet. (Note, while it will be possible to dial in using a cell-phone only, the meeting is intended to be accessed using the Zoom app. Members who do not use the Zoom app may have their experiences limited and find it difficult to participate fully.)

Putting together such large scale meetings is never easy, and relies on a ton of invisible labor from our members. Members produce these events, figure out how to make them as accessible as possible, and figure out tech solutions for things like voting. If you want to get involved; especially if you think that you could help something get done better, please contact [email protected]. We know there’s always room for improvement, and we may already share some of your assessments, but could always use more help to be able to bring ideas to life.
