Join DSA-LA in attending an eviction support training led by LA Tenants Union (LATU) attorneys. With the city’s covid eviction moratorium set to end after March 31st, we know landlords will intensify their war against tenants. Let’s get prepared to help the working class fight against evictions and defend our housing!
LATU is conducting a 4-part training series on how to support tenants faced with eviction. Part 1 of the training series will be held on January 29th from 11:00AM – 2:00PM at 104 Robinson Street, Los Angeles 90026 (the red door, near the corner of Robinson & Beverly). It will focus on understanding the unlawful detainer process, including responding to complaints and making sure tenants don’t get defaulted.
This training will be in English with Spanish interpretation provided. If you plan to attend, please bring a pen or pencil and a notepad. Coffee and donuts will be provided. This training is for any tenant organizers and allies who want to learn how to help tenants navigate the legal process, such as by helping them file responses and understand paperwork and by supporting them in court.
