With regular closures leading to mass unemployment and the dangerously irresponsible response to COVID-19 by local public officials, our industry has become more precarious and exploitative than ever. We need a transformation of the industry, but that change will not come from an elected politician or a restaurant boss. That change has to come from the workers, willing to organize and fight for a service industry that recognizes the dignity in our labor.

The DSA-LA Food Service Labor Circle will be hosting an important discussion on the state of the restaurant and food service industry in Los Angeles. We will hear from workers on the front lines fighting for more dignity in their workplace, as well as leftist lawyers who will share important information about the rights food service workers have under COVID, as well as what to do while unemployed.

If you are a food service worker prepared to organize and fight back, join us.
