CONTENT WARNING: This book club involves discussion of mental health and suicide. We feel that a disclaimer about the subject matter being discussed is prudent. These are sensitive topics and we will respect all needs to step back from the conversation. The Mutual Aid Book Club is moving on in our series on Alienation. Taking a brief break after David Graeber’s Bullshit Jobs and before Mark Fisher’s Capitalist Realism, we’ll be going through a few works on Mental health and suicide: The first is Mark Fisher’s article on depression, “Good For Nothing”. The second is a film, Oslo, August 31, which follows a recovering drug addict; The third is another film, Paradise Now, dealing with insurgency in the West Bank and suicide and the terrible intersection therein. We hope to see you in the coming weeks to discuss the heavy implications of these subjects. Good Cheer until then.

Please RSVP to this event to get connection information.

The Mutual Aid Book Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
