Both Eunisses Hernandez and Hugo Soto-Martínez’s candidacies present an incredible opportunity to elect longtime socialist organizers; to activate hundreds of our members in diverse, renter-heavy districts; and to keep building coalitions with labor and broad social justice campaigns across Los Angeles.

The DSA Working Groups for Eunisses and Hugo are co-hosting this event. We will meetup at the Recreation Center in the morning for coffee and training, head out to canvass for a couple hours, and then return back for a picnic and social! This is a great opportunity for the coalitions of these two campaigns to develop stronger connections.

We’ll be meeting at the Glassell Recreation Center @ 11:30! If you’ve never canvassed before: we will provide you with a thorough training, pair you up with someone experienced/confident, and make sure you are comfortable going out. Don’t worry — we got you!

After canvassing, at 3pm we will return to the park for a picnic social with food and drinks. Please join us!

You will need:

a fully charged smartphone

water, a hat (optional, but a good idea)

a mask — N95, KN95, KF94 strongly preferred!

a tote bag/backpack (optional, useful!)
