Hi tenant comrades!
Last month’s in-person meeting was a great success. We had a lot of generative conversation outside the stifling confines of the Zoom room, and we enjoyed each other’s company in a beautiful park! As such, we’re going to do it again; the next HnH meeting will be held on Sunday 7/30 @ Harold A. Henry Park, 11am-12:30pm.
Here’s a maps link to the park.
Just like last time, we’ll meet at the picnic tables on the western side of the park, at the corner of Lucerne Ave and Francis Ave. Parking is available in the neighborhood. This event is accessible to all. Since I received some requests for a hybrid meeting, I will try to get that sorted before the event and send out an email with a link. Here’s hoping it works!
For this meeting: we’ll have the usual report backs, but we’ll also discuss a project brought up by our LATU comrades – to get help from Hugo protecting organized tenants in Hollywood from being Ellis evicted. This is a great opportunity for our chapter to utilize the members we recently helped get elected to city council for the benefit of the city’s working class. Let’s talk over together how we can go about getting that done!
Hope to see you there,
Harrison
