Socialists understand that our politics have to extend beyond the ballot box — we also have to see our workplaces, where as workers we can exert our power over economy, as a key site of economic struggle. But what does this practically look like? And how can someone get started in engaging with workplace struggle?
Join us on a late Saturday morning as members of our Labor Circles initiative – a program aimed at helping DSA members engage in workplace organizing – talk about their experiences over the last year. Discussions will include running for elected positions in unions, building socialist networks in industries, and organizing new unions with your coworkers. We will spend the last part of the meeting in breakout groups, where you can talk with current labor circle members or work on building your own!
