For this Mutual Aid Book Club series, we are discussing 2 short films: The Battle of Algiers, directed by Gillo Pontecorvo and Afrique 50, directed by René Vautier. Then we will be introducing and discussing The Wretched of the Earth, by Franz Fanon At this meeting, we will be discussing the preface. Discussion will be informal, and folks of all levels of involvement are encouraged to join! We also try to make sure to ground our discussions in the organizing work that we’re doing on the ground, so discussions can hopefully be accessible to everyone.
