In this class, we tackle the different ideological perspectives on the housing crisis. In this course, we consider the ideological perspectives different elected officials have expressed on the housing crisis and how those perspectives influence their decision making. As part of this course, we will review data on the housing crisis to gain a better understanding of the scale of this issue and how long it has affected South Los Angeles and LA County as whole. Lastly, we will consider some of the issues with conventional explanations of the housing crisis.
