We are now in a two person race between Hugo Soto-Martínez and Mitch O’Farrell, in the final stretch to November 8th.
Hugo Soto-Martínez’s candidacy is an incredible opportunity to elect a longtime socialist union organizer and core chapter member; to activate hundreds of our members in a diverse, renter-heavy district; and to keep building coalitions with labor and broad social justice campaigns across Los Angeles.
We are meeting at the ‘Grassy Patch’, on the South West end of the Silver Lake Recreation Center. If you’ve never canvassed before: we will provide you with a thorough training, pair you up with someone experienced/confident, and make sure you are comfortable going out. Don’t worry — we got you!
You will need:
- a fully charged smartphone
- water, a hat (optional, but a good idea)
- a mask — N95, KN95, KF94 strongly preferred!
- a tote bag/backpack (optional, useful!)
If you are feeling sick or exhibiting any of the known symptoms of COVID-19 and its variants, please stay at home and rest! If you have not been vaxxed and boosted, please do so if you can. For maximum protection, please wear a high quality mask — N95, KN95, KF94 are strongly advised. The campaign will try its best to provide these masks to you when possible, but if you are able to bring your own, please do so.
